Cause A Camp

Camp Canaan focuses on running camps for the underprivileged community across the city of Chennai. A camp can give a child a glimpse of a wonderful world outside their tiny room; a camp can give a youth a chance to foresee a better future for themselves; a camp can give an adult rest from all their concerns, which perhaps, can lead to reflection, refreshing and even hope. Help us cause a camp.

From our Camp Director

Hello guys!
My name is Ruth

I attended my first camp at the age of 12 and knew from that moment; this was my world and my future. Pursuing the dream, I attended all the camps I could, volunteered as soon as I could, trained as program director and activity leader and finally set out to build one up. 2014 Camp Canaan began and it still does to me what it did at the age of 12. It presents wonders from the world around, and from the people you meet. It is in the climbing, the swimming, the waves, the hills, the food, the hard-earned-sleep, the conversations, the stories; its all around you. So much of wonder. It's why I still go to camp.
